Kim Surette
Registered Veterinary Technician
Meet Kim
Kim graduated in 1997 from Ridgetown College with a diploma in veterinary technology. Since then, she has worked at clinics in Southwestern Ontario as well as for eight months in Penticton, British Columbia. Kim's experience has taught her the importance of veterinary dentistry, and she really enjoys this area of practice.
Kim has been at Hale Veterinary Clinic since 2001 and has taken on the role of Lead RVT over the past few years.
Kim works primarily in the treatment room as Dr. Hamilton's assistant during procedures. Her focus is on monitoring and managing your pet's anesthesia, inventory control, and maintenance. While we have a wide array of technologies to measure various vital statistics (temperature, blood pressure, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, electrocardiogram, respiratory rate), Kim is by far the most important monitor. Her diligent attention to your pet helps ensure a smooth and comfortable appointment.
Kim and her husband Paul are actively busy keeping up with their two teenage boys in competitive hockey, baseball, and university life. They enjoy their downtime relaxing with the entertainment of ‘Ivy’, their Bengal cat.
Kim is proud to be Fear Free Certified.
